About Us

We believe that all women have the right to reach their potential and to live their lives free from violence and abuse.

We are passionate about what we do. We know it makes a difference.

Through our work we know that women affected subjected to trauma, violence and abuse have the potential to transform their lives. We support them by providing a safe environment and high quality, gender-responsive, trauma-informed support.

New Dawn New Day has worked to support the wellbeing of women and girls in Leicester and Leicestershire for over 30 years, starting out as a community-based women’s centre in the 1980s. Now we specialise in supporting women involved with the Criminal Justice System, delivering a range of practical and emotional support designed to meet the multiple and complex needs of women referred into our service.
